Charities have long been regarded as a specialist area requiring particular knowledge and experience. Hilary Julian has been acting for charities for a number of years, and has been awarded the Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA) by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Based on Hilary's expertise we are able to assist charities with the preparation of their accounts, and tax returns if applicable, and act as independent examiners of any size of charity, or as auditors if the charity is required or chooses to be audited.
Although an independent examination is intended principally to ensure that the accounts have been correctly prepared from the underlying accounting records, and that these are in turn reliable, we always seek to add value to the process. So we'll let you know if we think that the presentation of the accounts might be enhanced, or if we have come across areas where your controls or governance could be improved, as part of our service.
And where we act as auditors we seek to make this a positive process for all concerned, with the best interests of the beneficiaries of the Charity at its heart.
We seek to pass on the advantages of our low cost-base to clients: contact us to find out how your charity could benefit.
And we're always here to answer your ad hoc questions - just call or email and we'll get back to you.
